I am currently the Vice President of Search for CBSi. CBSi is a perennial Top 10 Internet portfolio comprised of the CBS digital footprint, through which hundreds of millions of people reach our properties each month through Search.
Vice President, Digital Strategy, Define Media Group
Before CBSi, I was the Vice President of Digital Strategy at Define Media Group. DMG was born within The New York Times company (still a client) and we went on to work with nearly every major news and content publisher of size around the globe. Through the DMG years, I was lucky enough to sharpen my knives at places like Bloomberg, BusinessInsider, Buzzfeed, USAToday, Yahoo, Quora and many of the biggest venture capital, private equity, hedge fund and tech incubators.
Tippit/Focus Research (sold to Ziff Davis in 2011)
Previous to my role at Define Media Group, I was VP of Audience Development at Focus Research, acquired by Ziff Davis. My team developed audience and user acquisition strategies to build dominant online properties in each of our key B2B vertical markets (VOIP, CRM, HR, etc.).
Founder, Scoreboard Media Group
Scoreboard Media Group is my personal consulting firm. Within Scoreboard, I developed strategy, trained personnel, and executed complex internet marketing solutions (Digital Strategy, User Acquisition, Audience Development, SEO, SEM, Social Media, Lead Generation) across nearly every major vertical.
I am an Advisor to a handful of interesting startups, lending my experience in User Acquisition and Audience Development. I also work with a few hedge funds and buy-side entities on evaluating Internet signals and investment themes.
My job allows me to see many exciting Seed-stage businesses. From time to time, I will make an investment but, by no means, am I an active angel investor.
